What cameras does Attensive work with?

Accepted Answer

Any standard IP camera works, including Axis, Avigilon, Hikvision, Dahua, and most existing CCTV systems. We recommend 1080p or higher for parcel dimensioning and 720p+ for trailer fill tracking. If your facility already has security cameras, you can almost certainly use them with Attensive.

Do we need to replace our VMS or NVR?

Accepted Answer

No. Attensive reads standard RTSP streams alongside systems such as Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, or a plain NVR. Your security recording setup stays in place. We read the same feeds and add a measurement layer.

Question 3

What is parcel cubing, and can Attensive do it from a phone?

Accepted Answer

Parcel cubing uses a package's length, width, and height to calculate cubic volume and dimensional weight. Attensive can produce those measurements from a standard smartphone, which is useful for receiving, field pickup, returns, and other places without a fixed dimensioning station.

How accurate is it compared to LiDAR or scan tunnels?

Accepted Answer

Accuracy depends on camera placement, calibration, lighting, and the workflow. For parcel dimensioning we target operational-grade measurements such as L x W x H and volume from standard camera feeds. For trailer fill, we target practical volumetric visibility that helps teams identify underfilled loads and closeout risk before departure.

How long does deployment actually take?

Accepted Answer

3–5 days from kickoff to live measurements. There's no hardware to install. We connect to your existing camera feeds, run calibration to map cameras to physical zones (about 30 minutes per camera), and start delivering data. No conveyor modifications, no downtime.

Question 6

Where does our video go, and who can see it?

Accepted Answer

Attensive is designed around operational measurements, not worker surveillance. Video is processed to extract measurements and events; evidence clips, retention windows, and data residency are configurable per deployment. The platform does not use facial recognition or audio capture. For facilities with strict data governance, we support private-network relay and can discuss edge processing options.

Can Attensive replace a scan tunnel?

Accepted Answer

For many operational visibility and exception-review workflows, Attensive can provide useful dimensioning without installing a scan tunnel at every line. Trade-legal billing has separate certification requirements, so the right starting point depends on whether you need certified rating or operational measurement and evidence.

How is this different from Voxel or other video analytics?

Accepted Answer

Many video analytics platforms focus on safety, security, or behavior detection. Attensive focuses on the geometry and movement of physical goods, including parcel dimensions, cubic volume, trailer fill, and zone occupancy.
